Over the last month or more, I’ve been helping some fantastic people in their jobs searches. They’ve worked on resume refinement, interview preparation, and storytelling. More than anything, though, they’ve worked on better understanding the needs of potential employers and better mapping their own skills to employer needs.
This blog is an attempt to capture some of the common themes that I’ve seen in these conversations. It’s an attempt to bust myths and share insights that I don’t seem to find elsewhere. This could be 5 articles long, or five hundred. I won’t know until I begin and learn what is helpful to those who visit.
